Crystal Bice is a dynamic and tenacious attorney with extensive trial, negotiation, and litigation experience. She is a life-long resident of Temple, Georgia and dedicated over ten years of service as a criminal defense attorney with the State of Georgia before establishing the Bice Law Group, LLC where she represents clients in all criminal matters, personal injury, family law disputes and wills.
Crystal attended the Jones School of Law in Alabama where she graduated in the top 17% of her class. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of West Georgia.
Prior to Law school, she served worked in various legal capacities in the West Georgia area. She was a Court Clerk for the Temple Police Department, and then became as Case Manager with the Public Defender's Office in Carrollton, Georgia. After Law School, she worked as a defense attorney in Paulding County, Atlanta, and Fulton County, she represented thousands of clients with charges ranging from traffic offenses and DUIs to serious violent felonies such as Murder and Armed Robberies. Through her zealous representations, Crystal has been able to secure dismissals, acquittals at bench trials and jury trials, as well as negotiated reductions in charges and punishment.
Crystal is a creative and well-respected litigator. Seven of the pleadings she has drafted were selected for publications in the Daniel's Georgia Trial Practice Forms Manual. Most recently, she secured a win for her client in the Georgia Supreme Court establishing a defendant's right to investigate his case in secret and separate from the prosecution.
Prior to founding the Bice Law Group, Crystal worked for nearly five years as a Trial Attorney with the Office of the Georgia Capital Defender. While there, she represented clients facing the death penalty in all aspects of the pre-trial and trial litigation. She served as qualified as counsel of record in 14 death penalty cases throughout the State of Georgia, and successfully helped each of her clients avoid a death sentence. She collaborated with a variety of experts in a wide range fields including psychiatry, mental health, medical, social work, ballistics, crime scene reconstruction, DNA, and cell-phone evidence.
Crystal has served as faculty for state-wide and national legal trainings hosted by the Georgia Public Defender Council and the Georgia Capital Defender. She has lectured about litigating cell phone evidence, challenging Facebook in Court and the procedure to secure out-of-state witnesses. She is a graduate of various elite national trainings including the National Criminal Defense College and Death Penalty Defense College in California hosted by the Santa Clara Law School and Capital Voir Training in Boulder, Colorado.
